Children’s Hospital Special Event - Saturday, August 28

May I have a dozen Ferraris, please? No... not Ferrari of Denver’s dream enquiry... but we need about twelve cars for a special event Saturday August 28 at Children’s Hospital in Aurora. Tricia Cherne, of Ford GT infamy, working with Joan Slaughter, of the Morgan Adams Foundation, is planning to take a group of kids from the pediatric cancer ward at Children’s Hospital on a dream ride through the Rockies, rotating the kids, and a few doctors and nurses, among the cars for a ride to remember! Tricia paid BIG MONEY for this project at the Morgan Adams Concours charity auction last year, then turned it into this spectacular idea for the kids--as well as some of the hard-working team who look after them at Children’s. So--please volunteer your car and driver to meet at The Children’s Hospital, time to be advised, Saturday August 28 (rain date Sunday 29th). The FCA-RMR has always been very generous in supplying our cars for events of this type--so please e-mail Tricia soonest, let her know you can come, and what car you will bring.

Ferrari Club at the Denver Botanic Gardens – Cultural/Social Event
Join the Ferrari Club on Saturday, October 2 at the Denver Botanic Gardens to experience the incredible exhibit “Moore in the Gardens”. We will spend approximately 1 hour on a private tour exploring the Henry Moore sculptures focusing on Modern sculpture, Henry Moore’s life and the sculptures themselves. Our tour guide will be Ferrari Club member and Denver Botanic Gardens volunteer Wendy Menefee.
However, if there are a lot of attendees, we may request another guide and divide into two groups. After the tour, you are welcome to enjoy the gardens or retrace your steps to enjoy the sculptures again.
Time: Tour begins at 10:30 AM. Please meet at the front entrance by 10:20 AM. We will pay and enter the Gardens as a group.
Cost: $12.50 (Entrance fee to the gardens or free to current Denver Botanic Gardens members) Tour: $4.00 per person (The tour guides do not get paid – the $4.00 helps Denver Botanic Gardens offset costs associated with bringing the exhibit to Denver)
